Trial recording and transcript

 

John's trial in 1981 was a total travesty and a miscarriage of justice. We have decided to put the whole thing up on this website so that everybody can read about it and listen to the audio recording made in the court of the trial. The judge Angus Stroyan worked hand in hand with the chief prosecutor Geoffrey Rivlin QC, and they made it certain that John would not get a fair trial.

 

The official shorthand writers were a Leeds firm called Humphreys, Barnett & Company, and they simply went along with everything they were told and altered the records to make sure that any appeal against John's conviction would be impossible.
